Job summary

Cheshire East Council’s Integrated Front Door team is the first point of contact for concerns about a child’s welfare. Social workers assess referrals, conduct initial enquiries and work with multi‑agency partners to ensure the right help is provided at the right time.

This role requires experience in a statutory children’s social care setting, registration with Social Work England, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

The Integrated Front Door team is the first point of contact for concerns about a child’s welfare. Social workers here play a vital role in safeguarding by assessing referrals, carrying out initial enquiries, and working with multi-agency partners to ensure the right help is provided at the right time. About you:
  • You have experience working in a statutory children’s social care setting.
  • You can thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • You are registered with Social Work England.
  • You’ll bring strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage complex situations.
  • Previous front door experience is desirable but not essential - you’ll receive support and development to succeed.
