Integrated Community Equipment Commissioning Manager

Location: Aylesbury

The Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) is dedicated to providing an effective and efficient equipment service to people of all ages, including children, to help them develop their full potential and maintain their health and independence.

Our new Commissioning and Procurement Hub collaborates with clients to develop and execute procurement strategies that meet success criteria. We integrate experiences and lessons learned to ensure effective approaches, supporting all stages of the commercial lifecycle and maximizing value for our clients.

About the role

The ICES Commissioning Manager oversees Social Care and Health provisions, ensuring quality and performance management aligned with Council frameworks. The role involves working with stakeholders and providers to support strategic development and lead the recommissioning of the Community Equipment Service.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the strategic commissioning of the ICES contract to ensure high-quality, effective, and outcome-focused services within agreed timescales and budgets.
  2. Managing the ICES contract daily in line with Council and Directorate frameworks.
  3. Acting as Lead Officer for the management of the ICES Section 75 Agreement and pooled budget.
  4. Ensuring timely invoice processing and robust financial reporting aligned with requirements.
  5. Collaborating with providers and prescribing organizations to ensure statutory compliance and best practices.
  6. Identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to the ICES contract.
  7. Providing expert feedback to stakeholders regarding ICES services.
  8. Fostering an outcome-focused and performance-driven culture across services.

Any-Desk:

This role requires connectivity to our network via Any-Desk, allowing access from home or office, with some office presence required weekly depending on team needs.

About you

Experience required:

  • Substantial senior experience within relevant service areas or professions.
  • Expertise in community equipment services, service delivery models, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of performance management standards across organizations.
  • Experience in developing commissioned services aligned with corporate visions.
  • Ability to build relationships, engage stakeholders, and influence in complex settings.
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation.
  • Financial management and budget control experience.
