Your new company
Your new role will be working for a Lloyd’s Broker that has access to syndicates, London Market and international insurers who provide specialised products. They have close relationships with key underwriters and are based in the City of London. You will be working with brokers, MGAs and insurers throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Due to expansion in their Technical team, a permanent position for an Insurance Technician has arisen. This role is 3 days in the office.
Your new role
As an Insurance Technician, you will perform back-end processing tasks including processing debit notes and Closings. Your duties will include managing claims to ensure they comply with standardised processes, contributing to continuous improvement of claims processing, and supporting the claims team in business performance initiatives. You will assist in claims management, ensure staff are knowledgeable and skilled, and handle premium processing, L-pan production, and understand MRC risk and endorsement documentation. You will also manage A&S submissions via the IMR System, claims submissions via the ECF system, and queries on the DXC Insurance Portal. Additionally, you will review and maintain technical items on the company's in-house system and collaborate with internal and external clients.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Insurance Technician, including experience with global placements, understanding of MRC risk and endorsement documentation, familiarity with Xchanging, and knowledge of Premium and Claims Bordereaux. Experience processing debit notes and Closings, and Lloyd’s of London applications are also desirable.
