Job summary

AllianceBernstein seeks a Multi-Sector Insurance Associate Portfolio Manager to ensure precise insurance trade execution and adherence to client guidelines. The role partners with Portfolio Management, Trading, Sales, and Operations to support asset allocation, risk controls, and cash management across multi-sector insurance strategies.

You will generate trade orders, prepare exposure reports, and drive process improvements with technologists to enhance efficiency and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of industry experience.
• Experience with Fixed Income credit, currency and/or global markets preferred.
• Interest or experience in insurance asset management and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and efficient implementation of Insurance trades.
• Manage portfolio cash balances and align with investment guidelines.
• Monitor positions, orders and analytics for compliance with targets.
• Highlight deviations and rebalance portfolios as needed.
• Generate buy/sell orders to manage cash flows and FX rebalances.
• Coordinate account openings/closings with Sales and PM.
• Prepare investment and portfolio exposure reports.
• Review guideline amendments and custodial changes impacting accounts.
• Identify opportunities and collaborate with technologists to improve processes.
• Support Portfolio Managers, Sales, Trading and Ops to meet client requirements.
• Partner with Insurance Ops on transfers and cash balances.
• Build trackers and report-out presentations for investment programs.
• Serve as the go-to for asset-class inquiries and impairment reviews.
• Conduct bespoke asset allocation analysis and insurance-relative value recommendations.
