Job summary

Essential Employment is recruiting an Insurance Manager (Hybrid) for Huntingdon on a 4-month contract with a possible extension. The role requires hybrid attendance for IT equipment collection and occasional business needs.

The successful candidate will bring strong insurance management experience, particularly in underwriting, procurement, and stakeholder engagement, to lead a busy team in a public-sector context. The role pays £364.09 per day PAYE.

Qualifications

• Strong insurance management experience, ideally within Local Government, Public Sector, or public authority risk.
• Experience in insurance procurement and tender evaluation processes.
• Proven managerial and supervisory experience.
• Strong underwriting knowledge, particularly around insurance placements, programme design, and procurement activities rather than claims management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.

You will Ideally have -

• Strong insurance management experience, ideally gained within Local Government, Public Sector, or organisations dealing with public authority risks.
• Insurance procurement and tender evaluation processes.
• Proven managerial and supervisory experience.
• Strong underwriting knowledge, particularly around insurance placements, programme design, and procurement activities rather than claims management.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.

This is afull time role on a temporary contract basis.
