Job summary

Allianz Commercial, based in London, seeks a commercially minded finance professional to steer financial performance across underwriting portfolios. You will plan, report and analyze monthly results to support decision-making and portfolio steering, bridging Finance and Underwriting and sharing best practices across GPS.

This role welcomes candidates from any discipline with strong numerical and analytical capabilities and substantial insurance sector experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, ideally insurance or reinsurance.
• Proven expertise in planning and performance management, including analysis of financial statements and performance metrics.
• Ability to convey information clearly to senior management.
• Comfort working in a global team with remote relationships.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex scenarios.
• Experience managing projects and developing solutions with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills; SAP reporting experience.
• AI/ML experience to improve processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent and comprehensive business steering support.
• Identify key drivers, risks and opportunities with recommendations to senior management.
• Drive quality assurance for financial reporting and enable global business steering.
• Present clear conclusions and robust financial commentary for decision-making.
• Coordinate regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Support leadership on ad-hoc topics and projects.
