Job summary

CKB Recruitment Limited is seeking a Business Development Executive for its central Cardiff office. This role offers a base salary of £26,000–£28,000 with bonuses, and an OTE of £29,000–£32,000+.

You will develop sales skills, learn about the insurance industry and have opportunities for progression within the company. No prior insurance experience is required; a confident telephone manner and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional telephone manner.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Motivation to make proactive calls and start conversations with new people.
• Good organisational skills and confidence using IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Contact potential clients by telephone, email and other channels.
• Build rapport and explain services to identify opportunities for further discussion.
• Obtain client authority forms to progress discussions.
• Work with broking team to turn initial interest into new client opportunities.
• Keep accurate records of conversations and follow-ups.
• Organise workload to prioritise promising opportunities.
