Markel International in Manchester is seeking an ambitious Insurance Broker to join our growing broking team. You will manage your own portfolio, place specialist risks and build relationships with insurer partners, with a clear path to career progression.

The role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 plus monthly bonus, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, and private medical cover. You will develop specialist commercial broking expertise within a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

As an Insurance Broker, you'll be responsible for generating, placing, and managing insurance business across a range of specialist and high-risk sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Converting new business opportunities into sales
• Obtaining quotations from insurer panels and open-market providers
• Negotiating premiums and cover terms with insurers
• Managing policies from inception through to renewal
• Handling mid-term adjustments and customer enquiries
• Building strong relationships with clients and insurer partners
• Following up outstanding renewals and referrals
• Supporting business growth through proactive account management
• Contributing ideas to improve team performance and processes
