Job summary

Aon in the UK is seeking a Bid Manager to lead end-to-end bid, RfP, and proposal projects, coordinating colleagues across broking, claims, risk consulting, and specialists to develop client solutions. You will manage multiple projects, review content for clarity and compliance, and drive delivery to agreed timescales while leveraging approved AI tools.

This hybrid role offers flexible office locations across Scotland and the North of England, with virtual work options to suit you.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance, risk management or broking.
• Strong stakeholder management with multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bid, RfP, and presentation projects, delivering high-quality, compliant submissions.
• Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses and risks to support opportunities.
• Work with brokers, claims colleagues, risk consultants, and specialists to develop solutions for clients.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to develop bid strategies, key messages, and client presentations.
• Review and improve proposal content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment to objectives.
• Manage multiple projects, balance priorities, and ensure on-time delivery with quality.
• Lead post-bid reviews and use AI tools to improve future submissions.

You’ll lead competitive tenders, client proposals, and strategic business opportunities. Working closely with colleagues across broking, claims, risk consulting, and specialist teams to develop solutions for clients, and demonstrate the value Aon can provide.

• Work with brokers, claims colleagues, risk consultants, and specialists to develop solutions for clients
• Partner with senior stakeholders to develop bid strategies, key messages, and client presentations
• Review and improve proposal content to ensure it is clear, accurate, compliant, and aligned to the client’s objectives
• Manage multiple projects, balancing priorities, driving collaboration, and ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and quality standards
• Lead post-bid reviews, share best practice, and use approved AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of future submissions
