CMS CMNO LLP in London is seeking an experienced insurance associate (4+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Insurance & Reinsurance Group. You will advise leading insurers on complex, high-value first-party coverage matters and related disputes, with a focus on CAR/EAR construction, property, energy and renewables, often with an international dimension.

From day one, you will work closely with clients, take responsibility for substantial matters and contribute to strategic, commercial advice.

Competenze

• 4+ years’ PQE gained at a city, major regional or leading international firm.
• Insurance experience in construction all risks (CAR) coverage as a minimum, with property, energy and renewables experience valuable.
• Strong drafting, analytical skills and ability to give clear, commercially-focused advice.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance associate (4+ PQE) to join a friendly, top-ranked and growing Insurance & Reinsurance team in London. The role offers high-quality, often international work for leading insurers and reinsurers, with a particular focus on construction (CAR/EAR), property, energy and renewables.

About the role

Our Insurance & Reinsurance Group is looking to recruit an associate with 4+ years’ PQE to join its London team. You will advise many of the world’s leading insurers and reinsurers on complex, high-value first-party coverage matters and related disputes, particularly across the construction (including CAR/EAR), property, energy and renewables sectors. Much of the work has an international dimension and the team is particularly experienced in complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration and adjudication. From the outset, you will work closely with key clients, take responsibility for significant matters and contribute to the strategic and commercial advice we provide. You will also be supported and encouraged to develop your own relationships, profile and network within the insurance market. The team combines technical insurance expertise with a practical and commercial approach. It is busy and growing, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious associate looking to develop their career within a collaborative and highly regarded practice.

About you

We are looking for an associate with 4+ years’ PQE gained at a city, major regional or leading international firm. You should have relevant insurance experience in construction all risks (CAR) coverage as a minimum, with property, energy and renewables experience also valuable, together with experience of other contentious work and dispute resolution. You will be a strong lawyer and confident drafter, able to analyse complex coverage and legal issues and turn them into clear, practical and commercially focused advice. Given the level of client contact and responsibility involved, you will also need sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complex matters effectively. We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, wants to build strong client relationships and is keen to play an active part in the continued growth of the team.
