Every single day, the creativity, dedication and genuine care for our communities are what push us forward and make this a truly special place to be.

The Insurance & Risk Management Analyst supports the execution of international insurance and risk management strategies for large-scale data centre development and operations. Based in London, this role works closely with senior team members, cross-functional partners, local and global brokers, insurers, lender insurance advisors, and other external stakeholders to support insurance placement, policy administration, claims coordination, contract review, project financing diligence, and transitions from construction-stage insurance to operational property coverage.

Success in this role requires strong organisational, project management, communication, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment, together with practical knowledge of international risk transfer mechanisms, insurance programme design, development insurance requirements, and local compliance considerations.

Responsibilities, Other Duties May Be Assigned
  • Support day-to-day insurance and risk management activities for international real estate acquisitions, leasing, procurement, financing transactions, development projects, and ongoing data centre operations.
  • Assist with the annual renewal process and international programme placements, including completion and submission of applications, disclosures, underwriting information, exposure data, and documentation required to obtain or renew coverage.
  • Support administration of international construction and development insurance programmes, including Construction All Risks, delay in start-up, third-party liability, professional indemnity, environmental, cyber, and other project-specific coverages.
  • Assist with enrollment of new projects into applicable construction insurance programmes and coordinate transitions from construction-stage coverage to operational property insurance at key project milestones.
  • Maintain the transition pipeline for development projects, track target milestone dates, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely insurance actions.
  • Support international expansion initiatives by coordinating with local brokers, insurers, and advisors to address admitted insurance, local policy, premium tax, regulatory, and contractual insurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Real Estate Programme Management, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Development, EHS, Procurement, and Operations to support a coordinated approach to insurance management during the development cycle and ongoing operation of data centre assets.
  • Review and negotiate insurance provisions in contracts, leases, vendor agreements, financing documents, and related development documents, escalating complex issues as needed and ensuring alignment with organisational risk appetite and international insurance market practices.
  • Support project financing diligence by coordinating with Capital Markets, Legal, Finance, lender insurance advisors, brokers, insurers, and other external partners to provide insurance information and resolve diligence requests within required timelines.
  • Coordinate underwriting, engineering, valuation, exposure, and loss-control information needed to support global property and development insurance programmes.
  • Assist with insurance claims experienced by the organisation, including timely reporting, documentation, coordination with brokers and insurers, status tracking, and support for resolution and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate insurance records, policy documentation, renewal materials, project schedules, insurance certificates, evidence of coverage, claims documentation, and compliance tracking in applicable systems.
  • Stay current on international insurance market trends, regulatory developments, insurance products, emerging risks, and risk transfer solutions relevant to data centre development and operations.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend insurance solutions that support business objectives, growth initiatives, development activity, and efficient programme structure.
  • Develop and support training materials, guidance, and stakeholder communications regarding insurance requirements, claims processes, development insurance workflows, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze and report on loss trends, insurance metrics, project milestones, and insurance programme activity to support management reporting and strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate with global and local brokers, insurers, adjusters, engineers, lender insurance advisors, and third-party consultants to support effective programme administration, coverage placement, claims handling, and cost efficiency
