Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Yeadon, Leeds, is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer. The role focuses on maintenance, calibration and fault-finding of instrumentation and control systems within a busy manufacturing facility.

You will develop skills across instrumentation, control systems and measurement equipment, contributing to reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing process while supporting Lean TPM initiatives and safe working practices.

Qualifications

Experience in instrumentation, controls, electrical or automation engineering.
Experience carrying out calibration/maintenance of instrumentation and measurement systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Carry out calibration, maintenance, inspection and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
Complete planned preventative maintenance and scheduled calibration activities.
Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding to minimise production downtime.
Investigate recurring instrumentation and equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Maintain calibration records, certificates and documentation.
Assist with control system software modifications and commissioning.
Interpret electrical schematics and instrumentation documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve instrumentation reliability and process performance.
Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
