Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd is seeking an Instrumentation & Calibration Engineer for a site in Hoddesdon. The role focuses on calibration, maintenance and fault finding of on-site instrumentation and control systems, with Maximo CMMS involvement.

The candidate should have instrumentation/calibration experience, be comfortable with HVAC/reactor systems and hold a Level 3 engineering qualification. On-call duties and development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Experienced in instrumentation, calibration or controls within a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Familiar with HVAC, reactor systems, stability chambers, and related facilities.
• Strong understanding of calibration of temperature, humidity, pressure, flow & speed instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Support all PM and reactive calibration, maintenance and fault finding on site instrumentation and control systems.
• Calibrate temperature, humidity, pressure, flow and speed instrumentation.
• Maintain calibration equipment and ensure certification is current and traceable.

£50,000-£55,000

As an Instrumentation & Calibration Engineer your core role & responsibilities are:

• Responsible for supporting all PPM and reactive calibration, maintenance and fault finding on site instrumentation & control systems
• Calibration temperature, humidity, pressure, flow & speed instrumentation
• Use of Maximo CMMS systems
• Dealing with HVAC, reactor systems, stability chambers, utilities & cold rooms
• Maintain calibration equipment, make sure certification is current & traceable

Knowledge, skills & experience required to be an Instrumentation & Calibration Engineer in the team:

• Experienced within instrumentation, calibration or controls
• Previously have worked in manufacturing, utilities, chemicals, water or oil & gas
• Worked on BMS systems, HVAC, reactor systems, stability chambers, cold rooms
• Level 3 qualified or higher in engineering - ideally apprenticeship trained
• Must be able to do instrumentation calibration - temperature, flow, speed & humidity
• Ideally have worked to ATEX, GMP standards
• Good computer skills - use of CMMS systems
• Experienced with water systems, sensors, flowmeters, gas analysers - beneficial
• Knowledge of control systems & PLC programming - desirable
