Job summary

A leading engineering firm is looking for a Senior/Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team in Warrington. You'll be responsible for functional design and technical documentation while liaising with clients. Candidates with a STEM degree and experience in PLC/SCADA programming are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

What you’ll be doing as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

• Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence.
• Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team.
• Electrical/Electronic installation for Communications and C&I.
• Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware.
• Writing and producing technical & test documents.

Your skills and experiences as a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

• A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent.
• Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification would be advantageous.
• Good technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA), or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Fanuc PLCs).
