A leading company in York seeks an Instrument Technician responsible for maintenance and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment. The role involves executing planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring reliability and legal adherence while working as part of a shift team. Responsible for instrument maintenance work on site, including planned, preventive, and reactive activities. This is to ensure that site reliability and integrity are maintained to the required legal and company standards. This will be carried out as part of a shift team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Skills & Qualifications
Relevant Trade Qualification as an Instrument Technician.
Ideally with a recognised level 3 education certificate, such as NVQ or HNC, in a relevant engineering field.
Highly driven and self-motivated, KPI focused.
Enjoys working under pressure of a manufacturing setting.
Good organizational skills.
Excellent communicator, equally comfortable working in a highly technical or shopfloor environment.
Experience in maintenance, calibration, and testing of Temperature, Pressure, Flow, Level & Analyser instrumented systems & other miscellaneous plant instrumentation.
Familiar with the use of computers for allocating, receiving & signing off maintenance work.
