Job summary

ChampionX in Southampton is seeking an Instrument Technician to perform planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance on instrumentation within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will calibrate instruments, fault-find on 4–20 mA/HART loops and support safety instrumented systems in hazardous areas.

Candidate will handle project installation tasks, loop checks and commissioning, liaise with engineers, and keep accurate CMMS records.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or traineeship in instrumentation or electrical discipline
• Experience maintaining instrumentation, electrical or control systems in industrial environments
• Training and approval to work on hazardous area equipment (CompEx Ex01–Ex04) or willingness to obtain
