Instrument Engineer – LNG FEED Project (Inside IR35)
Location:Leatherhead Office (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Rate: £50.00/hour (PAYE)
Duration: 12 months+
Start Date: Immediate
Engagement: PAYE only (no LTD or umbrella company routes)

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Instrument Engineer to join our client’s team for a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) LNG project. This is a critical, long-term assignment working from KBR’s Leatherhead office, with no remote or hybrid option – full onsite presence is required.

Key Requirements:

  • Must have prior Aramco project experience – this is essential and non-negotiable.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience within engineering consultancies, machinery OEMs, or end-user organisations.
  • Proven expertise in gas processing and LNG project execution.
  • Significant experience in Conceptual Design, Pre-FEED, Study, and FEED phases.
  • Skilled in the development of early-stage Instrumentation & Control (I&C) deliverables:
    • P&IDs
    • Instrument Indexes and Lists
    • Instrument Specifications and Data Sheets
  • Familiar with process control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA architectures.
  • Competent in instrumentation for custody transfer and metering systems, including relevant standards.
  • Capable of preparing budgetary requisitions and conducting vendor bid evaluations.
  • Familiarity with Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and safety lifecycle standards:
    • IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
  • Experienced in developing:
    • I/O Lists
    • Instrument and Control Specifications
    • Interface requirements with Electrical Systems
  • Strong background in greenfield onshore project environments.
