Are you keen to share your skills, knowledge, and experience? Would you like a rewarding career in education? We are seeking to recruit an Instructor in Animal Studies that have practical, hands‑on industry experience with relevant qualifications to deliver practical based lessons to our animal studies learners.

We are looking for an individual with relevant and up-to-date industry experience within the Animal sector, preferably within a zoo, that is supported by relevant qualifications as well as a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

You should be passionate about engaging and motivating learners, demonstrating creativity and innovation in your teaching to ensure that learners receive an exceptional educational experience. You will be responsible for planning practical based lessons, demonstrating practical concepts and tasks, providing learners with meaningful feedback that allows them to develop their own hands‑on practical skills, and carrying out practical based assessments. You would also be required to make reasonable adjustments to lessons to meet the diverse needs of our learners, helping them achieve their full potential.

Suffolk New College can provide relevant teacher training to those individuals who can demonstrate the potential to become effective teachers.

This post is based at Suffolk Rural campus; however, Suffolk New College is a multi‑campus therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
