Job summary

Suffolk New College Ipswich seeks a senior manager to lead all strategic curriculum aspects within the Inclusion Directorate, including foundation learning, inclusive learning and English for Speakers of other Languages.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will oversee curriculum development, performance and operational delivery across the directorate and ensure SEND provision is delivered across campus.

Within in range £62,055 to £79,041 per annum. Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process

35 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

This is an exciting and excellent career opportunity to join the Senior Management team at Suffolk New College. This role will require you to lead on all strategic aspects of the curriculum within the Inclusion Directorate, which includes foundation learning, inclusive learning and English for Speakers of other Languages. Supported by the Curriculum Heads you will have oversight and accountability for the curriculum development, performance and operational delivery in the directorate.

As the college curriculum expert for SEND and high needs learners, the role also has responsibility to monitor the quality of education for all high needs learners across college, working with the curriculum directors and area heads to support curriculum design and implementation.

This is an exciting period of growth and development for the Directorate, which plays a pivotal role in providing access to education for young people most at risk of not being in education, employment or training. The successful applicant will play a key role leading on curriculum planning, including the long-term design of an innovative and inclusive curriculum, as well as providing strategic cross college direction for SEND provision.

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will pro-actively lead and manage the Directorate to deliver an exceptional learner experience.

You Will Therefore Need To Be Able To Demonstrate

• Strategic vision with the ability to translate to operational outputs and impact;
• Inspirational and motivational leadership qualities;
• Expertise in the curriculum areas of the role with experience of working with young people and adults, including those with inclusion needs or SEND;
• Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships with employers and external agencies;
• Creative, innovative and solution focused approaches, which deliver an exceptional learner experience and learner outcomes.

You should also hold a relevant degree or professional qualification, maths and English at level 2 or equivalent alongside a teaching qualification at level 5. Ideally you will also hold a professional management qualification.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses
