Job summary

A leading digital learning agency is looking for an Immersive Instructional Designer to create bespoke learning solutions for a variety of clients. This fully remote 12-month contract role requires strong design skills in AR/VR and gamification, alongside excellent storytelling and stakeholder engagement abilities. The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept to execution, actively collaborating with developers and designers to craft immersive experiences.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead learning design from discovery and ideation through to scripting and storyboarding.
• Collaborate closely with internal developers and designers to bring immersive solutions to life.
• Work directly with stakeholders to shape project goals, tone, and structure.
• Design engaging, interactive, and narrative-driven learning experiences.
• Apply modern learning principles, especially simulation, gamification, AR/VR, and mobile-first design.
• Uphold the agency’s commitment to tailored, non-templated learning products.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in designing immersive and interactive digital learning.
• A strong background in global learning vendors or agencies.
• Excellent storytelling, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with AR/VR, performance support tools, and point-of-performance learning is a plus.
• A wide variety of industry and client knowledge (due to the sheer variety of clients you would work with).
• A willingness to learn the agency’s internal practices and contribute to a collaborative creative culture.
