Job Description:

Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development (Fluency in French is desirable)

Location - London

Founded in 2007, our client is one of the fastest-growing banks of their kind in the UK. They offer personal and corporate savings products and finance for UK residential and commercial property, in addition to sourcing and advising on UK real estate investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance the profitability of the unit.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Support Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
• Drive business origination by marketing new relationships and onboarding clients.
• Prepare and deliver credit applications for review by Credit Risk, with strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Ensure compliance with KYC/KYB requirements, including full reviews and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to meet timelines and ensure compliance.
• Monitor financial statement review deadlines and obtain necessary approvals.
• Prepare limit extension requests and manage system limit adjustments.
• Distribute the Financial Institutions Limits Report weekly.
• Handle customer queries efficiently.
• Support prospecting, due diligence, monitoring, and portfolio management activities.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Experience within Financial Institutions, UK regulatory knowledge, and understanding of Credit Analysis, KYC & KYB requirements.
• Understanding of International Trade Finance is a plus.
• Experience in the African market is highly advantageous.
• French speaking skills are desirable.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis, Excel, Moody’s Analytical tools, and Risk Rating tools.
