Job summary

Livity Life is seeking an Installation Technician to join our TEC team in Essex. You will deliver, install and collect TEC equipment at customers' homes, while supporting servicing and repairs as needed, contributing to safe, independent living.

Great candidates will have a full UK driving licence, strong customer service skills, and enjoy working in people’s homes, with training provided and a company van supplied.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in the homes of vulnerable people.
• Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
• Able to safely load and unload equipment, some of which may be heavy.

Responsibilities

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Installation Technician to join our Technology Enabled Care (TEC) team in Essex.

Working in partnership with the local authority, you’ll help deliver technology solutions that support people in their day-to-day lives and enable them to remain safe and independent at home.

As an Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation and collection of TEC equipment in people’s homes and other locations across Liverpool, as well as supporting the servicing and repair of equipment.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Delivering, installing and collecting TEC equipment
• Setting up equipment safely and correctly within customers’ homes
• Servicing and carrying out basic repairs to equipment
• Loading and unloading equipment from the company vehicle
• Providing a professional, friendly and respectful service to customers
• Working independently while remaining an effective part of the wider team

Experience

• Previous relevant experience is desirable, but full training will be provided
• Previous van driving experience would be beneficial
• Experience of PAT testing is an advantage, although training can be provided
• Knowledge of Telecare and/or Community Equipment is desirable but not essential

• A full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with no more than 6 points
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in the homes of vulnerable people
• Able to work independently and use your own initiative
• Able to safely load and unload equipment, some of which may be heavy
