Job summary

Pertemps Daventry is seeking an Installation Technician to join the team, installing and dismantling retail kiosks and displays across the UK. The role includes overnight work, with a 5 days out of 7 pattern and roughly 60% day shifts / 40% nights, plus possible weekend work.

A company van and all travel expenses are provided. Alongside hands-on installation duties, you’ll assist with warehouse prep at the Daventry depot, ensuring equipment is ready for upcoming jobs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with tools, assembly work, carpentry experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work night shifts when required.
• Physically fit for manual handling and overnight installations.

Responsibilities

Pertemps Daventry is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Installation Technician to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on retail installations across some of the UK's busiest shopping centres, helping to create eye-catching retail and promotional spaces for leading brands.

The Role as an Installation Technician, you'll be responsible for installing and dismantling retail kiosks, promotional displays, and equipment at shopping centres nationwide. As much of the work takes place outside normal trading hours, the majority of installations are completed overnight.

This role operates on a 5 days out of 7, with approximately 60% day shifts and 40% night shifts, so flexibility is essential. Weekend working will also be required depending on business needs.

When you're not on-site, you'll support warehouse operations at the Daventry depot, preparing equipment and ensuring everything is ready for upcoming installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and dismantle retail kiosks, promotional displays, and equipment.
• Load and unload company vehicles with installation equipment and materials.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Travel across the UK to complete installations and collections.
• Occasionally stay overnight when required.
• Support warehouse operations, including equipment preparation, stock organisation, and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety while delivering quality installations.

What We're Looking For

• A practical, hands-on individual with experience using tools, assembly work, carpentry, or similar skills.
• Electrical or vinyl wrapping experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including weekends.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK.
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team-focused approach.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points (essential). A licence check will be completed before employment begins.
