HVDC is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems globally. We seek a dedicated individual interested in working for a market leader in electrical power infrastructure. You will work on large-scale projects focused on enabling green energy transmission. The position is based in Birmingham, but most work will be outside this location.
You will join the Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department, a global team across 15+ countries, responsible for executing mechanical and electrical installation activities worldwide.
This role is site-based with travel involved. The initial project is in Birmingham for approximately XX months. Future projects are likely elsewhere, requiring willingness to travel. Regular travel home will be arranged, typically every 3rd month for 1-2 weeks.
You will be part of a team with a Site Manager overseeing all site work, along with specialists in quality, safety, planning, etc. You will work alongside installation experts responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment installation and testing, managing subcontractors to ensure project targets are met regarding safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
