Job description

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Installation Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Installation Supervisor:

1. The Installation Supervisor reports to the Depot Manager and is responsible for the operational aspects of the branch.
2. Coordinate with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO accreditation standards.
4. Manage, motivate, recruit, train, and develop installation technicians.
5. Conduct technical training as needed.
6. Ensure technicians adhere to health and safety policies.
7. Manage PPE ordering, issuance, and accounting.
8. Oversee insulation materials and related items inventory.
9. Perform site visits to assess installation quality and standards.
10. Report survey issues to the Depot Manager.
11. Manage the fleet of installation and inspection vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance and documentation.
12. Conduct driver license checks and maintain records.
13. Ensure vehicle safety features are operational and regularly audited.
14. Maintain tachograph compliance.
15. Assist with customer complaints through site visits and reporting.
16. Complete tasks within deadlines and perform general administrative duties.
17. Record technician times, vehicle info, and materials used daily.
18. Maintain equipment registers and safety inspection records.
19. Conduct Toolbox Talks and maintain technician training records.
20. Ensure cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
21. Work flexibly to accommodate working hours.
22. Maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
23. Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures.
24. Perform other duties as assigned.
25. Report on sales forecasts and support customer satisfaction initiatives.
26. Coordinate with external agencies (e.g., health and safety inspectors, fire services).
27. Manage stock levels and reporting.

Skills and Qualifications for the Installation Supervisor:

• Proven cavity wall and loft installation experience. Experience with in-house computer packages and databases is essential.
• Experience in the insulation/renewable energy industry is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
• Full UK driving license and forklift truck certification are essential.
