Job Title: INSTALLATION OPERATIVE

Location: Middlesbrough, TS2 Area

Hours: 7.30am - 5pm (Full-Time)

Salary: GBP14.96PH

Contract duration: Ends 23/12/2025

Main Purpose of Job

STREET LIGHTING

COMPLETE REACTIVE and ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON CONTRACT ASSETS

INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTING FOR CIVIL CLIENTS

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Experienced operative to undertake full spectrum of street lighting installation, including cable detection, excavation, trunking/cable and column installation plus full reinstatement. Working in grass verge, roadside, highways.
2. Based in Middlesbrough and working predominately in the Teesside area but also undertaking work in the area from Northumberland to Scunthorpe.
3. Driving/operating Hiab vehicle. Performing banksman duties.
4. To participate in any relevant training to satisfy the requirements of the position.
5. Working on bespoke database. Basic computer ability required to receive, edit and return complete work projects via tablet (training will be given).
6. Assist with Festive Decoration Programme installing, dismantling festive decorations.
7. Periodically complete painting missions for street lighting assets.
8. To comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures. Company operates standard Drug and Alcohol testing in line with industry practice.
9. To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description.
