Multi Skilled Installation Engineer

Location: Home Based, UK

Company: Machines Manufacturer

Salary: £46,000 + Overtime + Allowances + VAN

Travel: 90% (UK & Worldwide)

We are working with an established Machines Manufacturing company based in Wales, UK. They are recruiting for a home-based Multi Skilled Installation Engineer to join their team. In return, they offer a salary in the region of £46,000 along with excellent employment benefits.

Our client is one of the leading turnkey robotics and automation integrators within the UK, specializing in process and packaging end-of-line systems. They supply process and packaging machinery to various industries around the UK and internationally. They are currently seeking a Multi Skilled Installation Engineer with relevant experience and knowledge for the role.

The candidate will be home or work-based, depending on location, but the role involves regular travel across the UK with opportunities to work internationally.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Installation of automated packaging machinery in various industries.
2. Completing site installation from initial layout, erection, mechanical & electrical fitting.
3. Proficiency in all aspects of installation, with opportunities to progress to commissioning with in-house training provided.
4. Compiling installation reports and liaising with management on progress, ensuring project targets are met and adaptations are made as necessary.
5. Electrical work involving wiring 3-phase, 400V, 24VDC systems, including sensory and safety equipment.
6. Connection and layout of pneumatic equipment.
7. Responsible for own health and safety, conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience of erecting steel structures, including use of lifting equipment, forklifts, telehandlers & MEWP. Licenses desirable.
• Experience with single and three-phase supply, 24VDC systems, and basic fault finding during installations.
• Relevant industry-recognized qualifications desirable.
• Good team player, capable of working alone when required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain customer relationships.
• Willingness to work/stay away during the week; flexible and adaptable to changing schedules.
• Full UK driving license.
