Multi Skilled Installation Engineer

Home Based, UK

£46,000 + Overtime + Allowances + VAN

We are working with an established Machines Manufacturing company based in Wales, UK. They are recruiting for a home-based Multi Skilled Installation Engineer to join their team. In return, they offer a salary in the region of £46,000 along with excellent employment benefits.

Our client is one of the leading turnkey robotics and automation integrators within the UK, specialising in process and packaging end-of-line systems. They supply process and packaging machinery to various industries across the UK and internationally.

The role involves regular travel across the UK with opportunities to work internationally. The candidate will be home or work-based, depending on location.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Installation of automated packaging machinery in various industries.
2. Completing site installation from initial layout, erection, mechanical & electrical fitting.
3. Proficiency in all aspects of installation, with opportunities to progress to commissioning with in-house training provided.
4. Compiling installation reports and liaising with management on project progress, ensuring targets are met and adaptations made as necessary.
5. Electrical work involving wiring 3-phase, 400V, 24VDC systems including sensory and safety equipment.
6. Connection & layout of pneumatic equipment.
7. Responsibility for own health and safety, conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience of erecting steel structures, using lifting equipment, forklifts, telehandlers & MEWPs. Licences desirable.
• Experience with single and three-phase supply, 24VDC systems, and basic fault finding during installations.
• Relevant industry-recognised qualifications are desirable.
• Good team player but also able to work alone when required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain customer relationships.
• Willingness to work and stay away during the week; flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules.
• Full UK driving licence.
