Job summary

Hartland Recruitment & Advertising Limited seeks an Industrial Installation Electrician or Electrical Control Panel Wirer to join a growing team. You will commission or install control panels on local customer sites within 50 miles, with no nights away and a company van.

Initially you will install panels and wiring in the workshop, then expand into PLC/HMI work and full control systems installation and commissioning as you develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical control panel wiring experience, PLC panel/MCC, or industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret electrical schematics.
• Must have a driving licence and be willing to travel to customer sites.
• Flexible attitude with readiness for installation and commissioning work.

Responsibilities

• 80% of time installing electrical panels on local customer sites within 50 miles using company vehicle.
• Assist with panel wiring in workshop, wiring motors, sensors, pushbuttons, drives in MCC/PLC panels.
• Develop into installation and commissioning of complete PLC systems alongside a Control Systems Engineer.

Job description

You will be commissioning or installing a built Control Panel on a customers' site- usually locally within 50 miles, no nights away.

The plan is to find an Industrial Installation Electrician or Electrical Control Panel Wirer who wants to get involved in a growing company-- and develop this role themselves. Initially installing control panels onto sites- then getting more involved in the PLC HMI work that the company does. A great role with a future.

• 80% of the time, Electrical installation of the panel on local customers' site, using a company vehicle, installing cables, containment, tray, wiring the control panel into the site electrical system.
• In between site work - help the others in Panel Wiring - Wiring in motors, sensors, pushbuttons, drives, completing the MCC or PLC control panel in the workshop
• THEN - as a nice thing to develop into for your future-
• Sometimes getting involved in installation and commissioning of the complete PLC system, drives, motors etc alongside a Control Systems Engineer. Ideal for someone who is Electrical or a Maintenance Engineer and who wants to learn or get into PLC controls work.

What do we need? Something like this: Electrical control panel wiring experience, PLC panel/ MCC etc or industrial electrician experience and qualifications, able to read drawings, driving licence, flexible attitude, happy to work on customer sites in installation and commissioning.

You'll earn £42K-£45K basic salary, plus paid overtime, and holiday/pension, and other benefits. Company van for site work, and the sites will be local- so no nights away. It's also a company that likes to look after people, give them a variety of work, and the chance to add new skills.
