GET Staff is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer to cover the South West and M4 Corridor. The role involves installing, commissioning, testing and handing over Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems across commercial and industrial environments.

With 5+ years in the industry and strong knowledge of BS5839, you will manage on-site comms with clients, deliver demonstrations, and ensure safety compliance while upholding high standards of

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in fire and security.
• Ability to install and commission across fire and security systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of BS5839 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test and handover Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems.
• Execute projects from initial installation to client handover.
• Manage client and contractor expectations on-site with clear communication.
• Deliver system demonstrations and training to clients.
• Integrate detection and CCTV with other security disciplines.
• Complete project paperwork and CRM documentation accurately.
• Manage time to meet specifications and drawings.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment.
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements.

Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team, working across the South West and M4 Corridor. With over 30 years of experience delivering tailored compliance and safety solutions, they proudly operate as part of a larger Group. They are seeking a skilled installer who can also confidently undertake the commissioning, testing and handover of both fire and security systems across a range of commercial and industrial environments.

Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, test and handover Fire, CCTV, Intruder and Access Control systems.
• Execute projects smoothly from initial installation through to final commissioning and client handover.
• Manage client and contractor expectations on-site through strong customer-facing communication.
• Deliver comprehensive system demonstrations and training to clients.
• Integrate detection and CCTV systems into other security disciplines.
• Complete all necessary project paperwork and CRM documentation accurately.
• Manage time efficiently to complete planned works in line with specifications and drawings.
• Maintain the provided company vehicle and equipment to a high standard.
• Adhere to all workplace Health & Safety requirements and maintain safety equipment.

Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer Skills & Experience Required:

• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience within the fire and security sector.
• Proven ability to both install and commission across fire and security systems.
• Relevant qualifications and a full, thorough understanding of BS5839.
• Strong Network/IP-based product knowledge and manufacturer training certifications.
• Experience with Gallagher, Salto, Bosch, Hanwha, Milestone, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, Gent, and Advanced systems.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills and a professional approach.
• A resilient team player with a 'can-do' attitude who remains calm under pressure.
• A full UK driving licence.
