Job summary

Tyler Mason Consultants is seeking a Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer to commission, test and handover fire systems across commercial environments in the Southwest. You will ensure high standards and full compliance while working in a customer-facing role with contractors.

Responsibilities include liaising with clients, commissioning large projects in Access Control, CCTV, Intruder and Fire Alarms, plus thorough documentation and vehicle/PPE maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to commission and handover systems per specification and drawings, including client demonstrations and training.
• Experience on Fire, CCTV, Intruder and access control projects.
• Network/IP based product knowledge.
• Strong time management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer

Location: Southwest

Package: Up to £48000, (package circa 53k) company car and benefits

About the Role

This role will involve commissioning, testing and handover of fire systems across a range of commercial environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are delivered to a high standard and fully compliant.

Key Responsibilities: Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer

• Managing client expectations
• Liaising with clients and contractors
• Good communication skills are required as most of the role will involve being in a customer facing environment.
• Commissioning of large projects in Access Control, CCTV, Intruder and Fire Alarms.
• Completion of paperwork and/or CRM documentation.
• Knowledge of integration of detection and CCTV systems into other disciplines.
• Time management of planned works.
• Adhering to Health and Safety at the workplace.
• Replenishment of PPE and/or safety equipment.
• Maintaining provided vehicle.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to commission and handover systems in line with the specification and Drawings including client demonstrations /training.
• Experience on working on Fire, CCTV, Intruder and access control projects.
• Network/IP based product knowledge.
• Possess strong time management skills
• Remain calm under pressure
• Be a team player and have a 'Can-do' attitude
• Have outstanding verbal and communications skills

Experience & Qualifications: Fire & Security Commissioning Engineer

• Relevant qualifications and a full understanding of BS5839.
• A minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Manufacturer qualifications/training certifications
