Job summary

TipTopJob in London (Heathrow / Hillingdon) seeks an experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join a market-leading team delivering end-to-end control system solutions for transport, airport and power sectors.

Role involves commissioning, testing and troubleshooting on site, PLC data tests, field device setup and site acceptance work. 2+ years commissioning experience and an HNC in electrical/control engineering are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years commissioning experience in electrical/control environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• EDU/EEA/Swiss passport for Europe work.
• No criminal convictions due to security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Commission, test and troubleshoot installation of equipment and control systems on site.
• Perform loop checks, I/O testing and functional verification.
• PLC data input tests and verification with plant/field devices.
• Field device setup and wiring verification.
• Site acceptance tests and fault fixing of PLC code or wiring.
• Produce RAMs, test docs and weekly progress reports.
• Attend site progress meetings and client-facing test conditions.

Our client has been established for more than 35 years and are recognised market leaders in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems primarily to the transport, airport and power infrastructure sectors, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a number of experienced and ambitious Installation and Commissioning Engineer professionals to complement their established and successful team of electrical and control professionals delivering end to end control system solutions.

Duties

• Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting installation of equipment and control systems on site
• Performing loop checks, I/O testing and functional verification of systems according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.
• PLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.
• Field device set:up
• Performing site acceptance tests, fault find and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues.
• Producing documentation such as RAMs; test documentation; weekly progress reports etc.
• Attending site progress meetings, toolbox talks etc and providing professional representation of the business especially during client:facing test conditions.

To be considered for the varied and challenging Installation and Commissioning Engineer positions offering genuine scope for career progression and development, it is envisaged that successful candidates will demonstrate at least 2 years relevant commissioning work experience and be qualified to at least HNC level or above in electrical or control engineering.

Essentially you will hold a full UK driving licence, an EDU/EEA/Swiss passport for working in Europe and have no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities.
