Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming primary school in Bolton seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join its team. This role involves teaching a Year 2 class full-time and delivering a broad KS1 curriculum in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, assess pupil understanding and collaborate with colleagues and families to support pupil development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Recent experience teaching in a primary setting, with KS1 familiarity.
• Strong classroom management and clear communication.
• Creative and inclusive teaching approaches.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.
• Planning and delivering lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Supporting pupils with their transition through KS1.
• Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate assessment records.
• Establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Promoting high standards of behaviour, presentation and achievement.
• Working alongside colleagues and families to support pupil development.
