Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a Year 1 Teacher in Chichester to join a welcoming primary school on a long-term contract with potential permanent opportunities. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Year 1, assess progress and foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.

The role suits an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with QTS, strong classroom management and a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire young learners.
• Committed to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Enthusiastic, organised and committed to CPD.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress and create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils through the early years of KS1 and maintain high standards.
