Job summary

MacIntyre Academies is seeking inspirational Teaching Assistants to join our school community. Reporting to the Class Teacher and HLTA, you will support teaching and learning, model best practice, and help learners achieve educational and wellbeing goals.

The role is 34 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time only), with a discretionary Special School Allowance and strong pension benefits. Previous experience is not required; strong communication and record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Effective, confident communicator with ability to keep accurate records of learning outcomes.
• Ability to facilitate and reflect on practice within a teaching support role.
• Willingness to work within term-time schedule and 34 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support and delivery of teaching and learning under guidance of Class Teacher and HLTA.
• Model best practice to enable learning and achievement across cognitive and wellbeing goals.
• Maintain accurate records of learning outcomes and student progress.
• Adapt to learners with challenging behaviour and contribute to safeguarding.
