Job summary

St Mary’s School is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant at level 3 to work across the whole school. The main responsibility is to support teachers in delivering the curriculum, directly with pupils and in preparing resources.

The ideal candidate should be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible, and have an interest in child development and safeguarding. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks worked per year, with 46.2 weeks paid per year.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with staff, pupils and parents.
• Experience supporting pupils with diverse needs is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering the curriculum to pupils across the school.
• Assist in preparation of learning resources and materials.
• Model expected behaviours and provide consistent, supportive classroom supervision.
