Job summary

Greenfields Primary School & Nursery is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive, ambitious team. The role focuses on assisting teachers, supporting pupils with the primary curriculum, and promoting inclusive learning.

The successful candidate will be passionate about children’s development, able to follow direction, and committed to safeguarding. Fixed-term, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, with opportunities for training within the David Ross Education Trust.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children.
• Ability to follow guidance from class teachers.
• Supportive role in delivering lessons and activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
• Provide general support to the class teacher in pupil organisation and classroom management.
• Help create a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
• Promote inclusion; ensure all pupils have equal access to learning opportunities.
• Be responsible for safeguarding the welfare of children in the school.
• Be an active team player and contribute to whole-school life.
