Job summary

St Peter’s CofE Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated role to support students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work in the classroom or outside it, providing personalised strategies and interventions, and will communicate clearly with staff and students while modelling excellent behaviour and relationships.

The academy is a mixed 11-16 Church of England school rated Good by Ofsted and SIAMS, with a strong CPD programme and a focus on staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Provide support to students with special educational needs in classrooms or outside teaching areas.
• Communicate clearly with staff and students and act as a positive role model.
• Personalise strategies and interventions for each student.
• Build positive relationships with students and maintain high behaviour and achievement expectations.
• Apply a creative approach to learning to engage diverse learners.
• Join a large team and contribute to a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities
