Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a focused SENCO at Trent Acres School to lead SEND provision across the school, aligning EHCP outcomes with strategic goals and ensuring pupils access appropriate support. You will work closely with SLT, teachers, pastoral and clinical staff, families and external partners to shape high‑quality SEND provision.

The post requires QTS/QTLS with NASENCO (or willingness to complete within three years), strong assessment skills, and a passion for driving inclusive

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS, with NASENCO or willingness to complete it within three years.
• Teaching or HLTA experience, ideally across a whole‑school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND practices.
• Experience using assessment data to evaluate provision and inform planning.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with staff, families and professionals.
• Strategic mindset and strong organisational skills; ability to influence and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and evaluation of the school’s SEND provision.
• Coordinate EHCP provision, Annual Reviews and provision mapping.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral and clinical teams, parents and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the right support.
• Contribute to school improvement and staff development, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Champion inclusion and ensure pupils access the curriculum and wider school life.
