Job summary

TimePlan Education Group is seeking a General Tutor for a specialist SEN school in South Devon. The role is permanent and full-time, supporting pupils aged 11–19 across English, Maths, Humanities, ICT and Science, with a focus on adapting learning to individual needs.

You will help pupils develop academic knowledge, confidence and independence, while building strong relationships and contributing to safeguarding and progress towards adulthood, further education or employment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring or supporting young people across a range of academic subjects.
• Comfort teaching English, Maths, Humanities, ICT and Science.
• Ability to adapt learning for pupils with SEN, SEMH and ASD.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across a broad range of subjects to develop knowledge and confidence.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities across Maths, Humanities, ICT and Science.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching approaches to different abilities and needs.
• Build strong, positive relationships to promote engagement and progress.
• Support pupils towards adulthood, further education, apprenticeships and employment.
