Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a committed Secondary School Teacher to join a Plymouth school. You will deliver high-quality lessons across your subject, engage students, and support their academic, social and emotional development.

You will create an inclusive classroom, build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, assess progress, and adapt teaching to meet diverse needs while upholding safeguarding standards and school policies.

Qualifications

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• DBS certificate with online update service or willing to obtain one.
• Provide two professional, child-related references.
• Experience working in a UK school.
• Safeguarding training up to date (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons within your subject area.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress and adapt teaching.
• Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with staff.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
