Job summary

The successful applicant will hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, with experience teaching at secondary level and knowledge of KS3/KS4 requirements. You will work as part of a supportive team and contribute to high expectations and inclusive teaching.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Secondary teaching experience (practice) with multi-ethnic urban schools and 11-18 setting.
• Knowledge of National Curriculum KS3/KS4 and ability to write lesson plans and assess work.
• Ability to work in a team and develop positive relationships with staff.
• Good ICT skills, including interactive whiteboards.
• Ability to motivate students and raise aspirations.
• Strong communication with parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons for KS3/KS4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop and adapt resources and write lesson plans.
• Tutor students and support learning alongside colleagues.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with parents and carers.
