Job summary

Harris Lowe Academy Willesden is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team. The post is full-time, with part-time applications considered. A TLR is negotiable for the right candidate.

You will teach English to a diverse student body in an 11-18 setting, contributing to lesson planning, resource development and assessments. Excellent teamwork, ICT skills and strong communication with families are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Secondary teaching experience at a secondary level (including teaching practice).
• Knowledge of National Curriculum KS3/KS4 and ability to plan, develop resources and assess.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons for KS3/KS4 and GCSE where applicable.
• Develop teaching resources and assess students' work.
• Create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external agencies when needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide goals and tutor students.
