Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking QTS-qualified Secondary Science Teachers (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics specialists) to join our Chester area roles. You'll have flexible options including permanent, long-term contracts, or day-to-day supply, with competitive daily PAYE earnings distributed weekly.

Applicants should hold QTS or QTLS, a degree in a science discipline, and proven experience delivering the UK Secondary Science Curriculum. DBS Update Service is preferred, but processing is supported.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS status (ECTs/NQTs and experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply).
• Degree level qualification in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering the UK Secondary Science Curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct exciting, hands-on Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Assess student work, track practical skills, and offer constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of safety, engagement, and positive behaviour in the lab.
• Prepare students thoroughly for target grades across combined and triple science modules.
• Work alongside secondary science teams to support school curriculum goals.
