Job summary

AppleBough Education is recruiting a passionate Physical Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Solihull area. The role focuses on delivering engaging PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 and inspiring students to enjoy sport and healthy living.

You will plan inclusive lessons, monitor progress and contribute to the school's wider sporting life through extracurricular activities, working closely with the PE department to raise standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
• Positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons.
• Inspire students to develop a positive attitude towards health, fitness and sport.
• Support students to develop their skills, confidence and teamwork.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Contribute to the wider sporting life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department.
