Job summary

AppleBough Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Solihull area. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, plan engaging PE lessons, and contribute to extracurricular sport within a supportive PE department.

The school prioritises student wellbeing, teamwork and high standards of teaching.

Qualifications

• QTS and secondary PE teaching experience
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for sport
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to motivate students of all abilities

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons
• Inspire students to develop a positive attitude towards health, fitness and sport
• Support students to develop their skills, confidence and teamwork
• Monitor and assess student progress
• Contribute to the wider sporting life of the school, including extracurricular activities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the PE department
