Education Personnel are delighted to be partnering with a progressive Derby secondary school to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) for an immediate start or January 2027. This role covers KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 teaching for those with Derby experience.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Minimum 6 months teaching experience in a UK secondary school.
• Passionate about science education and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 Science curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby.
• Plan, prepare, and assess Combined and Specialist Science lessons in line with CLEAPSS safety standards.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
• Contribute to Science department improvement planning.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.
