Job summary

New Horizons School in East Sussex is seeking a Teacher of Science to deliver Science across Key Stages 2–4 and to help shape a progressive, cohesive curriculum from primary through to secondary. The role includes leading accredited pathways and may involve supporting vocational learning opportunities.

The successful candidate will inspire curiosity, support pupils with additional needs, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive educational environment under the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and eligible to teach in England or equivalent
• Experience delivering Science to multiple Key Stages and ability to support cross-curricular delivery
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs is advantageous but not required

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across Key Stages 2–4 and support progression from primary to secondary.
• Deliver accredited pathways (Entry Level, Level 1, BTEC) and other practical learning opportunities.
• Support development and delivery of a coherent, progressive Science curriculum and share expertise with colleagues.
• Be flexible to teach other subjects as required and foster an inclusive learning environment
