Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Science Teacher for a Reading-based secondary academy. The role covers KS3 to KS5 with potential A-Level delivery in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

You will lead practical and theoretical science lessons, supervise labs, and support science clubs in a dynamic STEM-focused department. Qualifications

• Strong practical laboratory skills and up-to-date knowledge of CLEAPSS safety protocols.
• DBS Update Service knowledge is required as part of safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Plan and run safe laboratory experiments following CLEAPSS guidelines.
• Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through required practicals and exams.
• Maintain laboratory spaces and equipment safely.
• Assess student progress and report on outcomes.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.
