Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and pupil achievement.
• Proactive and flexible approach to working across different school settings.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated RE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and record pupils progress, using data to inform planning and next steps.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, promoting high expectations.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and staff to support learning and pupil progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including meetings and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil welfare.
